A poem of a distant friend

Lie to me and I'll tell you the truth
But expect it to hurt
I'll take the higher ground
When the lying starts
I won't play your game
Your rules bury your living
You can't wash off the blood-red stains
As you believe the deceiving

Sometimes others say it much better than I can. I know some people think of me as the "good girl". I always go to church, I do my devotions, I'm hopelessly devoted to God. But you know what, I still feel. And sometimes those feelings aren't always loving and happiness. Anyways. I just wish that sometimes people would see me as a real person, just like them. One who makes mistakes, and gets mad, and upset at the world. Anyways. I still love God, no worries :P
But I want to say thanks to this distant friend for the poem. His name is Rick by the way. I asked him if I could use his material for other stuff, and he said so long as I tell people that he is the great mastermind behind it all :D So, thanks Rick for putting into words the thoughts that I have. And I call him a distant friend, because I've only ever said surface stuff to him.. like, hello, and such. But, for some odd reason I think of him as more than an acqaintance. Interesting eh?

And it shines again

The sun is shining today. I looked out the window this morning and a smile crossed my face. It has been there all day, thanks to you God. I love it when you shine your bright sun down on me. It just reminds me of your great love. Everything in nature reminds me of your love. The sun, the rain, the wind. I love the trees and the water. Oh the water. I love sitting by the water, watching the sun reflect off of it, watching the wind move across it. I think I shall go to the river today, cause... I like it. You know.
